Persistent storms over the last seven days have worsened the precarious living conditions of the hundreds of thousands of uprooted Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as reported by relief agencies.

A official characterized the weather overnight as "horrendous", with precipitation so heavy that as much as 15cm (6in) of water was seen on the streets.
"The recent weather was truly terrible for the people. The storms were so intense... And the gusts were so forceful," stated the spokesperson.
Authorities voice grave anxiety that minors living in temporary structures in wet clothing will fall victim to hypothermia and other ailments.
Casualties and Widespread Destruction
Health authorities have reported that one baby has passed away from hypothermia and no fewer than 11 other people have lost their lives in structural failures triggered by the severe weather.

- Roughly 55,000 families affected by flooding.
- More than 40 designated refuges severely flooded.
- Many people forced to move once more.
Aid Distribution Seen as Not Enough
Agencies have increased deliveries of tarpaulins, warm covers and garments after the truce started, but they have said there is remains not enough aid entering.
"We are operating tirelessly to provide that relief and to allocate it, but the size of the needs is so immense that we are faced with many thousands of individuals and minors who are genuinely suffering nightly," cautioned one official.
Ongoing Challenges and Truce Terms
The second phase of the truce encompasses arrangements for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with political arrangements, the pullback of personnel, and other conditions.
Relief organizations have stressed the necessity for "greater and continuous aid to address urgent and ongoing needs."
The war was triggered by an attack in late 2023. Later military operations have caused a substantial number of lives lost in the territory, as per medical reports.
